Interesting....

*How much I feel like I belong in Africa, more and more each day

*How much I want to be working where God wants me to work

*How much I really want to be with this man from Ghana and wonder if it's really ever gonna happen???

*How my mom keeps getting sick/hurt/in pain and I can't be there to comfort her

*How I'm going to be an auntie for the 6th time!!!!

*How I have so many dreams and wonder if any of them are going to be coming true in my lifetime

As I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary of beginning my healthy journey, I look back and am amazed at myself for how far I have come.  When I started this journey, I was NOT motivated, happy, or had anything to look forward to. I never thought I would be able to complete 1-2 miles, but here I sit, just completing my 2nd 10K (6.2 miles) and training for my FIRST 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles) ! This was at my very first MRTT event - the BUDDY RUN . I had the pleasure of run/walk with Nancy Pearson, a veteran of this WONDERFUL group! In these pictures, it was a 5K... I try not to get discouraged, as every event that I participate in, I'm usually DEAD LAST ! But I have to remember what my dear friend Sonya Wynne told me on my very 1st 5K... "You'll NEVER be last. You are beating everyone that is still in bed, on the couch, or even here on the sidelines cheering people on." Thank you Sonya....I carry that with me ALL the time....even in training... S...

  OH MY WORD !!! Has it really been since March that I have written anything??? THIS is NOT acceptable! So much has happened since March!! I have started with a new coach in May and have lost 37 lbs so far! With consistency, or at least the attempt to be consistent, I'm on the road to losing more! I am in a new relationship which is helpful, as he pushes me to work out and stay on plan. He will be working out with me in the beginning of Nov... HOW SUPPORTIVE IS THAT???? He wants to be there every step of the way - from the workouts, to picking out my suit, to my very 1st show - front row screaming his head off with the rest of my family and friends...  Anyways, it's been quite the ride so far and I see the changes in my body composition! This helps keeping me focused and dialed in...

HAPPY 2026!!!

  OH WOW!!! Already??!!! DANG!!! Where did the time go?!?!?!?!?! Yes, it always amazes me how much time passes between my posts and the changes that occur within myself! I have been actively dropping weight, which is a GREAT thing, but still need to build that consistency in working out! I do NOT know for the life of me why I struggle with this aspect of this journey! I have GOT to figure out what my issue is in that regard - WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO BE CONSISTENT IN WORKING OUT???? Am I the only one that struggles with consistency in working out???? So, as I enter into this year of health, I am also entering this year in prayer. Prayer for the consistency, healing emotionally, relationship with food, and healing internally (physically speaking).  What a year this is going to be!  Here's to a year of health, healing, and consistency building!
