Hang in there....

We are now in week 2 of being on "lockdown" for most of us...

How are we holding up? Going stir crazy yet? I know what has been helping me is homeschooling my 10 yr old boy, getting out and going for a walk/run when the weather permits or doing an at home workout with the FitOn app. THAT has been "saving my bacon", fa reals!!

Share with me what has been helping you keep sane during this time... I NEED IDEAS and motivation! :)

Consume our Heart, Soul, and Mind with the things of God. HE will get us through these times and enjoy the time that we get to spend with our family...

Staying healthy during this time....

Hello!

Here it is towards the end of March and where does it find us as a society? It feels like "lockdown in a prison" and not having really any contact with others. As much as this may stink and not being able to really live our lives that we normally do, I think that this is a wake-up call for us all.

We should already be practicing good hygiene with washing our hands, covering our mouths with our elbows when we cough, using hand sanitizer, etc. etc. However, we need to be also practicing KINDNESS towards others during this time.

Have we checked on the elderly people in our lives to see if there is ANYTHING we can get for them, so they don't have to go out and face the nastiness of some people? What about our neighbors?

We need to...

In the midst of the social distancing and the like, we can still get our fitness in and stay on track with our fitness goals.  I know this is hard at times, but now would be the perfect time to get in the habit of MEAL PREPPING, getting outside (weather permitting) or workout at home, drinking ALL your water. We have #GoalsToCrush ! For my workouts at home, I LOVE to use the app called FitOn .  You can choose your intensity, length of time, area of body you want to focus on, etc.... CHECK IT OUT! If you decide to do it, please put in that Traycee Benjestorf (trayceebenjestorf@gmail.com) referred you - I would greatly appreciate that! :)

To track your progress of your movements and you don't already have a device, I HIGHLY recommend GARMIN . You can choose the watch that is best for you! I'm a Garmin Girl to the day I die! <3 garmin="" lots="" me="" nbsp="" of="" p="">

Welcome March!! How are we on this health journey?...

Here it is MARCH 2020 already!!! Time is flying by!

How are you doing in your health journey? I've been getting a lot better with my exercise (this is the TOUGHEST part for me!) and my water is increasing. For the most part, my nutrition is good, but of course there are ALWAYS room for improvements!  I'm a snacker, especially late night - who else is with me in this??

What is the biggest struggle that you are facing right now on your journey? Tell me how I can support you and help you succeed.

I need accountability to exercise - I have all the time, so that's not an issue - it's motivating myself to get it done! How do you keep going when you don't feel like it? I have some SERIOUS goals I want to accomplish and I KNOW that the best way to get there is my nutrition and MOVEMENT! AHHH!!

Comment below on how you are doing and how I can support you!

Progress Report...

It has been a crazy month full of sickness running through my household...son had the flu and acute ear infection for a week and I've been fighting through head congestion...

HOWEVER, this did NOT stop me from working out just about daily, focusing on nutrition, and my gallon water intake.

So here is an update...

Same dress, different woman! Minus 70 lbs and counting how many inches. Left is at 348 in May 2019. Right is just now at 283. About 90 more to go ... Here is to keeping going on my goals that I would LOVE to crush THIS YEAR #GoalsToCrush #FitAt50 #HealhtyMama #HealthyFamily

Happy February!

So it's ALREADY in February!

How are things going with your health goals? How are we being consistent?  I have to admit that I have NOT been very consistent with my exercise; however, been pretty good on the nutrition. The Super Bowl of course DID NOT HELP me stay on program, but it wasn't a total loss (sorry 49ers - my team!) :(

But this is a new day and a new month. If you, including myself, have "fallen off the wagon" or not been consistent with either exercise or the nutrition, we pick ourselves back up and keep going. Keep putting forth that effort.

What I am being consistent on is not just nutrition, but logging in my food and exercise in my fitness journal (found a Wal-Mart for $5! ).

Here are some pics/memes that I have come across that I've really taken to heart, if you will. They have encouraged me, made me laugh, and some reminded me of my reason I'm on this journey. I hope they can do the same for you.

Keeping up?

How are we doing with keeping up with our goals? We are 20 days in the new year... how are we holding up? I know for me personally it's been ROUGH!!! My consistency for my workouts as been lacking, that is for sure.  Nutrition has been on very well, with minor detours, but back on track for greatness!

What are the areas or area that you really struggle with to be able to reach your goals?

Nutrition?
Movement?
Water intake?
Logging?
Sleep?

You can always RE-START! If you mess up on ONE meal - pick better choices on the VERY NEXT meal!! Exercise lacking? Get some stretching/yoga in before you go to bed - (I'm preachin' to myself on this one)...

JUST KEEP GOING!!!

Inspiration.... who needs it?

Here it is... only the 8th day into the new year, and I see all over social media that people need to stay encouraged, motivated, etc. to keep on track with their dreams! Nothing is going to happen within a week of making up your mind to do it. Sometimes, it takes a few weeks, months, and yes, even years. But if it's something that you are always wanting to accomplish, do, or go - isn't it worth the effort it takes to get there? THAT REQUIRES TIME and WORK to be put in! It takes time to change bad or old habits and create new ones.

I'm guilty of this! I want it NOW! Not in a few months or even in a year... I wanted to be skinny/healthy last decade! However, I have to keep reminding myself that it took time to put the weight on, it's going to take time to take it off.

Here are hopefully some motivational sayings or memes that can help you along your journey:
